During the fourth six weeks in 7th grade art students illustrated with charcoal and then incorporated tints and shades to create these Georgia O'Keeffe inspired still life paintings. We did this same subject matter during the 3rd six weeks and I just love how paintings can morph into completely different beings with just one or two little shifts in instructions, but we still apply the same objectives/standards. Keeps us on our toes and keeps hallway displays from too many "repeated" projects throughout the year. These are all on display at the middle school right now.
Wow. They are so cool.
