Polar Bear Habitats

 Second grade artists studied the polar bear and its habitat in art class. The students examined the cool colors: blue and purple then enhanced them with warm red tones. Students discovered the ability that these colors have to relay temperature and atmospheric conditions (i.e., snow) in places like the Arctic and explored new techniques to create a variety of visual effects in the background.
