My 7th graders are doing a fascinating job with art inspired by famous pop artists, Lichtenstein & Warhol. I decided to post some of their works and believe I will add 7th grade to the blog for showcasing their work as well. The paintings below are the second phase born out of another project. Essentially, students had to take a popular item and make it into a painting (like Warhol) then, take that same icon and reproduce it in a style similar to Lichtenstein's cartooning with the primary colors!
They rock, just sayin!
